CONTACT LENSES
There are so many options with contact lenses today. Daily disposables are becoming very popular for the health benefits, comfort, and convenience. There are also weekly, two week, and monthly disposable soft lenses that can correct near and far sightedness, astigmatism, and bifocal needs.
We also fit speciality contacts such as RGP (rigid gas permeable), Scleral (large diameter RGP), and Hybrid lenses that have a soft skirt around a rigid center. These specialty contacts can solve challenging vision problems such as irregular astigmatism or corneal distortion caused by conditions such as keratotocus.
Contact lens wearers should be evaluated at least yearly to make the lenses are still fitting well, the vision is optimized, and there are no health concerns occuring.
